Since the autumn of 2000, the Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival has been held annually in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. We celebrate our local and national heritage of seafaring and maritime trades by taking nautical songs and music to the pubs, cafés, churches and streets of this seacoast town. The festival is held on the last weekend in September, with free music in the streets all afternoon Sunday. The eleventh annual festival was very well-received and highly successful, for which we thank all our friends, fans and supporters. Our twelfth will be held Saturday, Sept. 24 and Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011.

The Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival

The Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival is funded by the generous donations of local friends, businesses and companies and by fans of maritime music from all over. For the third year in a row, Portsmouth’s Celtic Crossing gift shop has offered to sponsor our Saturday evening concert, for which we are extremely grateful. Thank you, Celtic Crossing!!

Jeff Foliage

My name is Jeff Folger,
but people call me Jeff Foliage.
I have several pages that I write blogs for such as: http://www.4cornersnewengland.com/
My most popular blog is for Leaf peepers: Jeff Foliage.com.
I live in Salem, Massachusetts and work as a blogger and Travel Photographer. I'm also the founder of the New England Photography Guild.
Feel free to visit me on my blogs and see what life in New England is like.

I started with Yankee Magazine as their first blogger on everything fall foliage. Now I blog on my own blog on my favorite subject, telling leaf peepers where the fall foliage is showing up in New England and helping them (to some extent) plan their fall foliage vacations.
