Ease of route – Easy

Most everyone loves to take a ride on the Kancamagus highway during the fall season. I only do it during the week to minimize traffic but if the traffic is getting a bit wearing and you need a break, here is the route for you.

Finding the Albany covered bridge

Depending on which direction you hit the “Kanc” from (from the east it’s only 6.3 miles from Route 16,  or  from the west and I-93 it’s  a scenic 29.3 miles).

Either route will bring you to the Passaconaway Rd. You take this road in and on the right you will see a parking lot. Park… Now that wasn’t too tough was it? Please pay the parking fee and take a short walk to the bridge. Remember this is a functioning bridge so cars will travel on it so don’t get cocky and get run down!

My most popular blog is for Leaf peepers: Jeff
I live in Salem, Massachusetts and work as a blogger and Travel Photographer. I'm also the founder of the New England Photography Guild.
Feel free to visit me on my blogs and see what life in New England is like.

I started with Yankee Magazine as their first blogger on everything fall foliage. Now I blog on my own blog on my favorite subject, telling leaf peepers where the fall foliage is showing up in New England and helping them (to some extent) plan their fall foliage vacations.
