The March fall foliage winner has been selected and now I’m waiting for (him) to respond to the e-mail I sent. the way this works is that I send an e-mail to the subscriber that I randomly select. And while I don’t publish e-mail addresses (obviously) in this case I think he used his first and last name.
I believe his name is: Peter Kohn so now I’m looking for an e-mail from this person and from the e-mail address they subscribe to my blog with. The person selected for February never responded, so their February gift is rolling over into the package for the winner of March.
If the entire month of April goes with no response then these gifts will roll over into the package for the person I select at the end of April.
And now a shout out!
I guess like most contests I should have odds of winning and other technical data, things like you have a one in 575+ chance of winning (even though my blog subscriber list is now at 600 the e-mail only subscribers only come to 584). It makes me wonder if my subscriber number one is still following my blogs so I’m going to make a shout out to Mainiacs155 and see if they’ll leave a comment on this page.
My method for selecting from the subscriber list is fairly simple, I go to a website where I plug-in the high and low numbers and the software gives me a number. Generally I will do this three times and then pick one of the three numbers. Then I go to the spreadsheet and find the e-mail address associated with this number.
I also publish this on Facebook, so if you’re over there you can look for the announcement and then look in your e-mail for a note from me saying you have won, or if you’re on AOL wait for the tone and the announcement “you have mail!”.
If any of you have questions, leave a note in the comments and if you have an alternative to this way of getting winners leave a how-to in the comments…Jeff "Foliage" Folger You can purchase images by visiting my Fine Art Gallery websites

I started with Yankee Magazine as their first blogger on everything fall foliage. Now I blog on my own blog on my favorite subject, telling leaf peepers where the fall foliage is showing up in New England and helping them (to some extent) plan their fall foliage vacations.
