August Comment to Win-New England Fall Foliage — 65 Comments

  1. Congratulations for the very nice photo Jeff. I am a Brazilian fanatic for the beautiful landscapes of New England, particularly during fall. This year I will be out there in late October and early November. My idea is to be in the region of Kent, CT around the 30th of October and in NYC a few days later. I never managed to see the Central Park in NYC dressed in autumn. Do you believe that this year I will have this chance? Another question: Are you planing to give some practical course on how to photograph fall foliage? I would be a candidate, especially on the theme “reflections” and lakes with mist, because I really like your photos that address these issues. Greetings from this south part of the Americas.

    • I just decided to make this my next article… so keep your eyes peeled on the blog. Oh and as far as NYC and Central Park into Nov is your best chances of seeing it in full color. let me know how it looks!

  2. Always enjoy your photos; we are coming to Wakefield Massachusetts October 12th for a week to visit my brother Barry and his wife, Gayle. Plan to drive the Kancamagus (yes, I even spelled it correctly) and dine at Stonehurst Manor (my East Coast favorite.) Will also visit Salem Lowe in Salem Willows for the best Chinese Food and Duck Sauce (you live in Salem, don’t you?) And, no visit would be complete without stops at these earlier memories: Frozen pudding ice cream and Macademia Nut Brittle Popcorn at Hobb’s (also in Salem Willows); pizza and calzones at new Brown Jug in Everett; meat knishes and pastrami at Art’s Deli on Arlington Street in Chelsea; scrod at Legal’s Seafood; canolis at Mike’s in the North End; penuche fudge at Russo’s in Saugus; and time allowing, more pizza at Bill Ash’s on Revere Beach and veal parm at Jivelli’s in Easta Bost. And, please don’t forget fried clams in Essex at the Clam Box or at Woodman’s in Ipswich.
