This is just a short article that maybe one or two of you might think on.
For the past several weeks Salem and much of New England have been having such wonderful weather. cool mornings and warm afternoons (I hope this continues). Yet for the past few days we have seen how the folks in southern Texas have been suffering terribly.
I was feeling very lucky up here in my nice dry house and I can’t begin to really feel what it would be like to have to leave my home and belongings behind and hope when I came back that there was something to come back to.
Well I want to ask if every one of you who reads my forecasts and foliage reports and to please go to Redcross.org. I just went there and donated online a small bit of money. It doesn’t have to be much but make sure it’s either through their website or to a local office in person.
Do not respond if someone calls you up and says they are with the Redcross or a similar group and if you will only send them the money they will make sure it get used correctly… ONLY give directly to the Redcross. There are many horrible people coming out of the woodwork to scam money from those of us who would like to help others who really need it.
I do have a donate button to keep Jeff on the road and I would appreciate it ever so much if instead you would donate to the Redcross instead, (I’m not hurting as much as the people of Texas are).Jeff "Foliage" Folger You can purchase images by visiting my Fine Art Gallery websites

I started with Yankee Magazine as their first blogger on everything fall foliage. Now I blog on my own blog on my favorite subject, telling leaf peepers where the fall foliage is showing up in New England and helping them (to some extent) plan their fall foliage vacations.
