  4. Last year my wife and I had the best vacation ever to New England to experience the fall foliage.
I relied heavily on Jeff’s website and experiences to plan our trip. Highlights included Waldens Pond, Freedom Trail, Acadia NP, Lobster Rolls, numerous lighthouses on the Maine coastline, Grafton Notch SP, hiking on the AT, Rangley Lakes, Height of Land, Dixville Notch, Lac-Mégantic, White Mountains of New Hampshire, Franconia Notch, The Kancamagus, pancakes at Pollys, Kinsman Notch, a clear and T-shirt day on top of Mt Washington, countless covered bridges, Smugglers Notch, Jenne Farm, Quechee Gorge, scenic flight over the Lake Placid region, the top of Whiteface Mountain with a dusting of snow, ferry ride on Lake Champlain, Ausable Chasm, exploring dirt roads, dining at 300 year old Longfellow’s Wayside Inn, and a host of other treasured experiences. I have nothing but praise for Jeff’s dedication to share his art and his love for the beauty of nature. Bravo Jeff, and thank you.
We look forward to our next trip to New England
    Best regards,
    Jim Seino

  5. Hi Jeff, I’m really exited for fall this year, the leaves out here are already starting to change in WNY. After life recently hitting me hard in a lot of different aspects, this is one time of the year that I won’t let be tainted for me. Fall creates a peace in my heart and it’s keeping me going right now.

  6. Nowhere is more beautiful than New England in the fall, from the quaint covered bridges to the autumn colours gloriously contrasted against the lovely whitewashed churches to the stunning reflections of natures beauty in the water. It should be on everyones bucket list, best holiday I ever had. Looking forward to more beautiful images as the fall unfolds.

  7. I am fascinated by your photography, they are simply amazing! Am planning to see the fall colors in Connecticut, either Talcott Mountain State Park or Kent falls state park during second week in October. Any thoughts on these places during that time frame.

  12. Only 11 days until we return to New England for the 8th year in a row! Thank you for piquing my interest in new places to see and photograph (amateur only, but love trying to get the best angle). This blog has become my go-to for color progress, hidden gems, and beautiful pictures of all things New England. I can’t wait for foggy, cool mornings, fall colors, hydrangea trees, maple creamies, covered bridges, big barns, beautiful mountains, and our Vermont “family!”

  13. At first glimpse of the common my eyes are delightfully dancing with the awesome colors—then I am wondering what the conversation could be on the bench—I want to keep gazing at this sight it is so beautiful–just found your website as I am going to Vermont for first time to see foliage and wondering what are the best dates–I will examine more of your works and hopefully will see some of the treasures you have found–thank you Michele

  14. I can hardly wait to trade my desert views for those of gorgeous mountains with flame red, sizzling orange, vibrant yellow and cool green leaves memorable to all of us who are fortunate enough to enjoy the fantastic northeast during the fall even for just a few weeks and even for the first time!. What fun we will have! Thanks Jeff for enlightening us!

  17. Hi Jeff, I stumbled upon your blog, and eventually your Facebook page whilst doing some research for the upcoming foliage season. Reading your og about how to find “hidden gems” if roughly the same attitude I already employ but I learned a few new tricks from you! Excited to continue reading and learning from you. They certainly don’t call you Jeff Foliage for nothin!!

  18. Hi from RI. I love autumn.
