The 17-day event is the largest fair in the Northeast and fifth largest fair in North America. Agricultural Events: Agricultural activities begin early in the morning and are open to the public in the Mallary Complex.

For the safety and security of all our guests, the following are not permitted through the gates at The Big E: Weapons (with or without permit); Ammunition; Knives, Alcohol/Drugs; Skateboards; Rollerblades; Luggage or other large bags.
All bags, purses and other items are subject to search. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Pet Policy
Fairgoers are not allowed to bring their pets through the gates during The Big E.

Exception: guide dogs.

All prices are subject to change. Advance purchase admission ticket will be accepted for admission any day. Midway rides, exhibits, games, and admission to paid concerts at the xfinity arena are not included with a general admission ticket.

Regular Gate Admission

Adults $15/Children ages 6-12 $10; Children five and under are free.

17-Day Value Passes are $40 for adults and $20 for children ages 6-12. Value Passes are available online now through Oct. 1 and at Big Y® World Class Market® Aug. 24 – Oct. 1.

Midway Magic Passes

$25 Advance / $30 Full Price – valid any one day Mon. – Fri.

Gate tickets and Midway passes sold online at and Big Y® World Class Market®, Sept. 14 – Oct. 1.

Military Appreciation Day – ID required for free admission for:
~ Active duty and retired military personnel

Six-After-Five – Admission is only $6 after 5pm Mon. – Thurs.
Senior Days – Age 60 and over just $12 Mon. – Thurs.

Parking Prices in Gate 9 Lot:  $10 –Cash only is accepted in our auto parking gates. There are no ATMs near Gate 9.
Additional private lots are located throughout the neighborhood and are not affiliated with The Big E. Parking fees are set by the property owner and vary depending on the day and distance from the Fair.

Handicapped Parking  (see prices above) – Our paved handicapped parking area is located inside the Gate 9 parking area at Gate 9A. The number of accessible spaces we offer far exceeds the code requirement, accommodating 172 vehicles. We also isolate a two-acre plot in the immediate vicinity of the gate where we can park up to 1,000 cars of handicapped patrons. Since we attempt to accommodate every handicapped vehicle, that area is vast and not totally paved.
This area also includes a covered drop-off area that may be used to drop-off/pick up handicapped, elderly or otherwise impaired passengers to wait while their car is parked.

Camper Parking – $20 (cash only)
A limited number of spaces are available for self-contained camper units on a first-come, first-served basis. An additional charge of $10 will apply for each extended awning or car occupying any adjacent space.
