Waterfalls, and gorges in New England
The book that I have is the New England waterfall book by Greg Parsons and Kate Watson. This is a very thorough book on the subject of waterfalls and cascades of New England. If you are the outdoorsy kind of person and hiking in to find secluded waterfalls is your thing, well this book should be on your list of books to get. I have a guest article by Chris Whiton on Waterfalls and rain. He is a photographer who lives up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
The current edition of this book, New England Waterfalls list more than 500 cascades and waterfalls throughout New England. The best thing about having waterfalls on your list of things to do is,
1. You will leave the traffic behind and most of the leaf peepers as well.
2. You can bring your tripod on a cloudy or even rainy day and get great shots of the water tumbling down and slow your shutter speed. (blurs the water to show motion)
I’ve tried to list just a few of the waterfalls and cascades in New England. I have not visited more than a few of them and you will find links to the page in the waterfall book and if I photographed it, a link to this in my gallery.
